Once a parish has decided to host That Man is You! several steps are critical to ensuring the successful, timely start of the program's Fall semester in early September.

Formation of the Core Team. By June a Core Team of 6-10 leading men from the community is selected and given responsibility for the program. Ideally, the Core Team should include a member of the clergy (priest or deacon) and men capable of personally bringing several men to the program.

Selection of Parish Hosting Option. The Core Team should select the hosting option that best suits the resources and abilities of the parish (see below).

Contact That Man is You! Trained individuals will coordinate with your parish Core Team to ensure the successful launch of the program. Special emphasis is given to the program's audio/visual requirements.

Schedule a Training Session. Individuals designated as presenters should plan on attending a That Man is You! training session or arrange for an onsite visit from a That Man is You! coordinator. During these sessions the That Man is You! Host Packet is delivered to the parish, plans for hosting the program are covered in detail and presenters are given the opportunity to experience the energy and excitement of the program firsthand.

Begin "Seeding" the Parish. Prior to the launch of the promotional campaign, the Core Team members should "seed" the parish by personally contacting at least 10 men. The Core Team has the responsibility of ensuring that the program's critical mass (approximately 75 men) is attained prior to promotional campaign.

Launch Promotional Campaign. The promotional campaign is launched in the middle of August. It includes three consecutive weekends of full page, full color bulletin inserts, full color banners, trifold brochures to be personally handed to men and pulpit announcements on at least two weekends.

Begin Parish Registrations. Registration cards should be placed in the pews and a table setup to receive registrations for the last two weeks of the promotional campaign.
Launch the Fall Semester. The Fall semester should launch during the first or second week of September so that it can be completed in early December.
